OLIVER REED BY DAVID STEEN | THE DAVID STEEN ARCHIVE | LAUNCHING JUNE 2012

At the weekend I visited Broome Hall, nr Ockley and filmed David Steen telling wonderful stories of the times he once shared with the amazing actor Oliver Reed – all thanks to a great friend of mine, Sam, the new owner. We were not only lucky enough to be able to film inside Oliver’s beautiful old home (he lovingly restored Broome Hall over many, many, years) but I also introduced David Steen to Mark, Oliver’s son. We heard some fantastic stories from both and had a truly wonderful day. Here is the striking photograph that David Steen took of Oliver Reed in 1975 and also a photograph of David Steen with Mark Reed outside the house.

FARLEIGH GOLF CLUB | THE DAVID STEEN ARCHIVE | FIRST COMMISSION COMPLETED

I have just completed the first corporate commission for The David Steen Archive. Farleigh Golf Club acquired eighteen of David Steen’s original photographic prints. Yesterday we went along and hung all of the images in the new dining room. The new golf club is launching on the 19th May, 2012. Here’s a photograph of our framer Charles in the process of hanging the photographs.

I’m still working very hard on The David Steen Archive. I’ve discovered some very exciting images taken by David Steen. Here is Lee Marvin at his home in Arizona, this image has never been seen before. The David Steen Archive is launching May/June 2012.
